Paris is AMAZING!

September 15, 2014

I’m 2 weeks in and enjoying life…

things that I experienced fresh into it

1. culture shock (it’s real and it sucks)- my 1-2 day freakout of doubt and anxiety

woulda, coulda, shoulda… to avoid how I felt I wish I made friends during the orientation and ceremony process, participated in the IECC, probably would have made the transition easier.

I forced myself to learn a few phrases in french to get me around, I got lost, made it to Luxemburg Parc and had a crepe and capp for lunch MMM

2. Try to learn as much of the native language as possible, even if you’re going to an American school, it’ll just be easier to get things

3. METRO is equivalent to NY subway system, super easy to use and when I get back to SF I will truly hate using public trans

made friends at orientation from Germany, Holland, Egypt, and other places
