Last week I was captivated to see thousands of people including students, professors and parents marching for Education rights. As a foreigner we are advised to stay away from these marches since they can be dangerous, but since I live downtown Santiago it was almost impossible for me not to see the overwhelming amount of people chanting as they made their way to the capital building. This was the first March of 2015 by the Confederation of Chilean Students. They aim to end all corruption within the school system, and for a fair system that will accommodate all students and not just those who have the money to pay for quality education.
Since arriving in Chile July 2014, This has been an ongoing movement and it was so exciting to see the large amount of people that still have not given up and continue to fights for their rights!
